The Golden Key

Mistakes Happen

If you’re part of the human race, you’ve made your fair share of mistakes.

Just waking up in the morning makes you eligible to make even more mistakes. There’s a good chance you’ll make a few more mistakes today.

We all have things in our life that we wish we could do over. Something we said or did that cost us a sale, caused someone pain or an opportunity we lost.

The problem with mistakes isn’t so much in making them because everybody makes them; the problem is getting stuck in life because you’re not learning anything from your mistakes.

Mistakes Are Valuable

Mistakes are extremely valuable… especially mistakes that cost you money. The more a mistake costs you, the more valuable it becomes.

There’s really only two ways to learn to do better…

#1 Learn from your own mistakes.
#2 Learn from other people’s mistakes.

I read a lot… maybe more than I should, but I’m determined to learn from other people’s mistakes.

I don’t have enough money to afford all the mistakes I know I need to make in order to achieve what I want out of life.

Combinations of Mistakes

When I mix my mistakes with the mistakes of other people, I’ve been able to find incredible insights from these combinations.

It’s not just the money though. I don’t have enough time to make all those mistakes.

This is also why I always listen to old people when they talk. Most are very willing to share stories of defeat and accomplishment.

They tell their mistakes without shame because mistakes are the golden key to accomplishment.

Right now, as you read this last paragraph, I want you to think about your biggest mistake because there is a golden key hidden in the ruins of your past.

Peace,
Mike
